The Art of Extreme Self-Care is a 12-chapter and 12-step process that supports the reader in going from putting themselves last, to putting themselves first. I love Cheryl’s book because it’s clear, personal, easy to digest, and asks extremely challenging questions of people-pleasers and chronic over-givers. Questions about how well that is really working in their life, and what it would look like to change it. This is a fantastic book for anyone who feels that “self-care” is a dirty word, and who is ready to take a hard look at their world and what possibilities await if they allow themselves to matter as much as they let others matter around them.
